Fast, clear planning

Stephen, one of our trip planners, is named in many of the 2026 reviews. The same points come up: he answered quickly, he listened to what people asked for, and the trip documents were clear enough that guests didn't have to chase anything once they landed. One couple who did New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Boston in October 2026 wrote that once they arrived they "didn't really have to worry about the arrangements."

Paul is named as the planner on other trips, including a September 2026 trip covering New York, Washington DC and San Francisco with hotels, domestic flights, tours and drivers booked in advance.

Private drivers who also guide

"Driver" is first on Tripadvisor's list of popular mentions in our reviews. Most of our trips use a private driver for each city, and several reviewers point out that the driver doubled as their guide, so there was no separate tour group to join.

San Francisco city tours

Our older reviews, from 2024, are mostly for private San Francisco city tours with Paul, who grew up in the city. Reviewers mention parts of San Francisco they had not seen on earlier visits, a stop in Sausalito, and the history behind each neighborhood.

When things go wrong

Not every trip goes perfectly, and one review says so. A group of friends on a two-week trip in June 2026 wrote that a couple of things did not go to plan, and that Stephen and the team fixed them quickly. We would rather you read that than a page with nothing but praise.

Private USA Tours plans private, tailor-made travel in the United States: city trips, national parks, road trips, honeymoons and luxury hotel stays. We also arrange private transfers, airport assistance and transport for events and small groups. Alexander Bach leads the company from New York.

Every trip is private. There are no shared coaches and no fixed departure dates. You travel with your own family, friends or colleagues, and the itinerary is built around your dates.

How a trip with us works

You send us your dates, who is traveling and what you want to see, through the request form or by email. A trip planner replies with questions, then a draft itinerary. You change it until it is right. We then book the hotels, drivers, guides, domestic flights and any timed-entry tickets the trip needs, and send you one document with everything in it.
